Child protection and safeguarding in sport

Before read this post,  read The Health Benefits of Sport and Physical Activity first

Thousands of people take part in sport

Every day thousands of people take part in sport; as players, coaches, volunteers, referees and organisers. In the most common, it is a good experience that develops internet sites, assurance, skills and knowledge. For others the ability is negative.
Child protecting in sport has been given too little attention by several clubs, organisations, funding bodies and governments to get a quite a bit of time. These three attitudes are often classified as:
  1. denial
  2. blame
  3. minimisation
These typical responses leave kids, coaches, groups, sports bodies, funding bodies and authorities isolated, weak and, while in the long haul, severely affected.

Practices

These practices, procedures and policies are to ensure that all who participate in activity stay safe, have some fun and learn.
Guarding children has both a preventive and reactive component; ensuring effective plans, processes and practices have been in place to limit damage occurring, as well as having steps in place to survey, investigate and deal with doubts and incidents.
